Xenogears Boss Tips-v1.0 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx I am writing this for all those people who are playing the PSX game Xenogears and need help with any or all of the bosses. These are my own tips, and feel free to distribute my Boss Tips around- but give me credit. Thanks! Remeber that this is only Boss Tips, and for the complete walkthrough, you will have to wait for me to put it out! Also, the bosses are in the order of appearance. NOTE: the attacks I list are mainly the special attacks; such as Ether-type attacks- not the everyday hitting and punching type things. Look ahead to the next boss to see any recommendations or preparations I have, so you can make them prior to the next battle. -Mike ======================================================== Boss: Rankar Dragon ------------------- HP: 480 EXP: 348 GOLD: 0 TREASURE: Scales ATTACKS: Tail Sweep; Slow; Tail Thump -This first fight isn't really much of a fight at all. There are two strategies that you can use against the dragon, both will work, but one is more dangerous. You can attack the Rankar using different combos to learn Fei's deathblows quicker, and heal when his HP fall below 30. Or, just defend while the dragon attacks and wait for Citan to bring Weltall. I would recommend waiting, although it's your choice. -When Fei takes the controls for Weltall, use the X attack, and the Rankar Dragon, with low evasion, will be toast soon. Boss: Wyrm ---------- HP: 200 EXP: 1044 GOLD: 0 TREASURE: Eyeball ATTACKS: Counter Slurp (Absorb 60 Fuel) -Wrym basically is invulnerable to your normal attacks, and has great defense against special attacks. While at Attack Level 0, use TRIANGLE attacks to conserve fuel, then unleashe Level 1 attacks. Wrym has a greater agility than you which results in more attacks between turns. -Using your abilities doesn't take fuel, but EP. Try to use GUIDED SHOT about three times to drop Wrym. Boss: Pirate (Brigandier-Bart) ------------------------------ HP: 800 EXP: 1600 GOLD: 500 TREASURE: None ATTACKS: Wild Smile (ACC and EV down); Chain Whip -Concentrate on X attacks whie at Attack Level 0, then use Level 1 combos. Don't worry about WILD SMILE effect, the battle should be over quickly. After Bart's gear, Brigandier, sustains enough damage, both gears sink beneath the sand. Boss: Calamity -------------- HP: 2500 EXP: 8642 GOLD: 2000 TREASURE: None ATTACKS: Flying Hand; Rocket Punch; Missle Attack -Many players have found this to be a hard battle, but I had no troubles with it. It will be easier if Fei and Bart are level 19 or 20. If you die trying to defeat Calamity, when you start back at your last save (which should be in the room right before Calamity), spend some time building up EXP. -Use X attacks and then use your strongest Attack Level 1 combos. The best idea is to cast Bart's WILD SMILE to lower Calamity's HIT%. After one casting, Calmity will only be able to hit the two gears with its missle attack. This helps you save HP, which can't be restored as of yet. You will need that HP, 'cause the missle attack typically takes about 500 HP. -GUIDED SHOT is worthless, but you should use BOOSTER if your gears fuel is high enough. Boss: Swordknight ----------------- HP: 700 EXP: 1500 GOLD: 300 TREASURE: Extra Ar+2 TREASURE: Multiple Sword Attacks -This is the first battle of five in your first multiple boss encounter. Bart and two pirates handle the easy first fight. Keep using your X attacks and you Level 1 combos every other turn. It is EASY. Boss: Aegisknight ----------------- HP: 700 EXP: 1500 GOLD: 300 TREASURE: Extra Ar+2 ATTACKS: Pile Driver (Weaken Ar) -Another easy battle, do the usual pattern: X attack, Level 1 combo. It should be easy for Citan in his new Heimdal. Boss: Wandknight (x2) --------------------- HP: 620 EXP: 1500 GOLD: 400 TREASURE: Extra Ar+2 (As usual ^_^) ATTACKS: Beam Gun; Power Beam Attacks -Now controlling both Heimdal and Brigandier (Citan and Bart, respectively), follow the same procedure. Probably two Level 1's will do it. Boss: Clawknight ---------------- HP: 600 EXP: 1500 GOLD: 300 TREASURE: Extra Ar+2 (...) ATTACKS: Multiple Claw Attacks; Disc Attack -Fei battles alone in Weltall. A couple Level 1's should finish the battle off quickly. Boss: Schpariel --------------- HP: 5963 EXP: 17,889 GOLD: 1700 TREASURE: Beam Coat ATTACKS: Ground Breaker; Missile; Electric -Fei, Bart, and Citan fight in this battle. This is the toughest boss fight to date, mainly because of the 6000 Hit Points. The main attack to worry about here is GROUND BREAKER, which can cause up to 250-300 HP, and an electric attack that lowers the gear's DEF. Use Wild Smile, then use X attacks and Level 1's every chance you get. And the last boss of the multiple encounter is downed. Boss: Gonzalez -------------- HP: 400 EXP: 500 GOLD: 0 TREASURE: SurvivalTent ATTACKS: Club Hit; Berserk -Gonzalez is hardly powerful. With only 400 HP, there isn't much of a problem, but have Fei use INNER HEALING if damage begins to take its toll. The best attack Gonzalez can muster is BERSERK, which causes 60 points of damage, in response to a DeathBlow. -Gonzalez is the start of another multiple boss encounter (of which you will see more of), but you have the option to heal Fei between battles. Boss: Big Joe ------------- HP: 777 EXP: 1 GOLD: 1 TREASURE: Metal Vest ATTACKS: *Weak* Normal Attacks: "Grrreat"; "Grrreat", "and Dynamic!"; Joe's Fans Cheer Support (Attack Fei, heal Joe) -Big Joe's attacks are weak, and the only thing to worry about is the crowd. They will heal Joe and attack Fei for 60-70 HP. Build up a 28 AP combo, and let 'im have it. Immediately equip the METAL VEST taken from Joe after the battle concludes. Consider equipping a POISON GUARD if you have one for the next battle. Boss: Scud ---------- HP: 300 EXP: 500 GOLD: 0 TREASURE: Samson'sHair ATTACKS: Strange Pill (DEF down); Strange Pill (poison); Happy Pill (heal); Knife; Swarm; Strong Pill -Scud's attacks are weak, but he regularly heals himself. Focus on building up that 28 AP combo by using TRIANGLE attacks, and unleash. -HAPPY PILLs cause Scud to heal 200 HP, and knives cause little damage. If neccesary, use INNER HEALING. If you equipped the Poison Guard, you won't get poisoned. GUIDED SHOT causes 100 HP damage. Boss: Dan --------- HP: 450 EXP: 500 GOLD: 5 TREASURE: WeddingDress ATTACKS: SuperBeam ("You scum!"); "I'm gonna take you down!" (no damage); "This is for all of Lahan!" (20 HP attack); "This is for my sister!" (physical ATK 20 HP) -Dan's one good attack is the SUPER BEAM, which can cause 80-90 HP. You CAN kill Dan, but if you just sit there and defend or use Inner Healing, some dialogue will commence after quite some rounds of defending. Fei talks about how he could never bring himself to hit Dan, and Dan will give you Alice's WEDDING DRESS to remember what Fei caused. But you only receive the WeddingDress if you don't attack and defeat Dan, you must wait. Boss: Wiseman ------------- HP: 999 EXP: 0 GOLD: 0 TREASURE: None ATTACKS: Doesn't -There is no beating Wiseman. He will dodge all your physical attacks, and receives minimal damage from Ether attacks, and will call you a wimp. After a few rounds and some dialogue, Wiseman will flee and forfeit the match. And that ends the tournament in Aveh. Boss: Ramsus (and Miang) ------------------------ HP: 400 EXP: 7000 GOLD: 500 TREASURE: None ATTACKS: Mirror Stance (DEF position); Mult. Sword Thrust -Miang and Margie both heal their comrades for 40 HPs. Bart's HEAVEN CENT and Wild Smile are ineffective. Use the nifty 28 AP attack to smoke Ramsus in one attack, no matter Miang healing Ramsus. -NEVER attack Ramsus while in his MIRROR STANCE, because he will counterattack for approx. 150 HPs. Cure or defend while he is in that stance. Boss: Ramsus and Miang (again) ------------------------------ HP: 800 EXP: 7000 GOLD: 500 TREASURE: None ATTACK: Same As Above -Pretty much of the same, but Miang heals for 100 HPs, and Fei is here to help. Just build both Fei and Bart up to 28 AP and unleash the attack. Same thing applies to Ramsus in his Mirror Stance: heal or defend. Boss: Wandknights ----------------- HP: 620 EXP: 1500 GOLD: 200 TREASURE: None ATTACKS: Rifle; Power Beam -If you got a chance, maybe you equipped a BEAM COAT? It won't really matter, because this isn't really a hard battle. Attack one at a time with X attacks, and build up to Level 2 attacks. Use the Level 2 attack to crush the second gear, then return focus to the first Wandknight. The POWER BEAM attack causes 300 HPs of damage. -There is no chance to heal or rest, and another battle awaits. Boss: Clawknight (yellow); Swordknight (red); and Aegisknight (blue) -------------------------------------------------------------------- HP: 700, 1500, 300 EXP: 800, 1500, 300 GOLD: 300(x3) TREASURE: Extra Ar+2 ATTACKS: Pile Driver (Weaken Ar) -Take out the blue Aegisknight first to eliminate its good DEF against Weltall. Do the usual: X attacks then Level 2 combos. Other than the red Swordknight, the other's attacks are pretty weak. Boss: Elly (Vierge) ------------------- HP: 2400 EXP: 11,046 GOLD: 300 TREASURE: None ATTACKS: Aerod (Anima Ether Response Offensive Drones) Attack -Fei and Weltall face Elly and Vierge alone. If Weltall's HP and fuel were worn down during the first two battles, then this battle can be tougher. (1800 HPs should be OK). -X attacks miss frequently, but cause twice the damage of SQUARE attacks. Elly's AEROD attack can cause 300+ HP of damage. Use Attack Level 1 or 2 combos as soon as you acquire them. Booster's a good idea in this battle, if you have enough fuel. Boss: Main Gun -------------- HP: 1800 EXP: 7000 GOLD: 0 TREASURE: None ATTACKS: Big Connonball Attack -Ignore the side cannons and focus on the middle big one. Watch the main gun's countdown, because once it reaches zero, it will unleash the BIG CANNONBALL ATTACK, which may cause around 400 HP. Use the X attacks, and build up to Attack Level 3 (or 2 if Weltall can't reach 3 yet), and you should be able to eliminate the cannon before the big shot with one Level 3 combo. Having upgraded your gears progressively, this battle should be pretty easy. Boss: Dora ---------- HP: 3000 EXP: 13,393 GOLD: 2000 TREASURE: Extra Ar+3 ATTACKS: Claw Attack -Fei fights Dora with two red gears. First off, the boss is invulnerable to the other gears' attacks. Most definitely use BOOSTER to increase you agility. So much as Weltall wasn't worn down too much from the prior battle, it shouldn't be too tough. Use the X attacks, and then Attack Level 2 or 3 combos. When you blow off Dora's head cover, Fei's companions then can inflict damage with X attacks. Boss: Leonardo -------------- HP: 500 EXP: 300 GOLD: 0 TREASURE: None ATTACKS: Weak Normal Attacks -Let's just say this isn't gonna be your toughest battle. Charge up your AP to about 20 and unleash a few of Fei's HAGAN attacks to take down Leonardo. Boss: Heinrich -------------- HP: 500 EXP: 300 GOLD: 150 TREASURE: None ATTACKS: 50 Point Wrestling Throw -Imploy the same technique as the last battle, but also watch this foe, because Heinrich is worthier. Boss: Vargas ------------ HP: 500 EXP: 300 GOLD: 150 TREASURE: None ATTACKS: Medium Normal Attacks -Use only Triangle attacks and build up your bar quickly to 28 AP. Unleash a combo to put Vargas out. Boss: Suzarn ------------ HP: 800 EXP: 500 GOLD: 0 TREASURE: Metal Jacket ATTACKS: Sickle Attacks; Drain EP; 1/2 Drain HP -The sickle attack can take almost 100 HPs. Heal if Fei reaches close to 100 HP. Another of Suzarn's attacks drains his EP. When this happens, use a ROSESOL to replinish his EP, then use INNER HEALING. Charge up to 28 AP and unleahs Fei's stongest combo attack. Boss: Rico ---------- HP: Doesn't Matter EXP: 0 GOLD: 0 TREASURE: None ATTACKS: Steel Body (DEF up); Steel Fist (ATK up); 1000+ HP Damage -As you would guess, Rico is unbeatable. Just try some new combos and try to get some points to learn a new DeathBlow, because Fei's attacks fail to do much damage at all. Boss: Redrum ------------ HP: 4242 EXP: 52,425 GOLD: 500 TREASURE: None ATTACKS: Gel (confusion); Bloody Rain (fire on all); Murder (steal all HP); Poison -This is a HARD boss. It is a good idea to use Citan's RENKEI ability and then cast KASEII on the party, so Bloody Rain doesn't cause as much damage. It's a good idea to keep Citan "Renkei'd" and then cast SAZANAMI any time you need to, because remeber: Citan's Renkei lasts until he uses an Ether ability. If you equipped the COOL SHADES or POISON GUARD, your party won't get poisoned by Redrum's GEL and POISON attacks. Have everybody use abilities that boost defense or attack ratings or blocks fire. Use a MENTSOL or PHYSIOL to remove any status effects, and be prepared to use ZETASOL to revive any fallen comrade. This battle will take some time, and be prepared to heal, and expend a lot of your resources. Boss: Wiseman ------------- HP: ?? EXP: 0 GOLD: 0 TREASURE: Information ATTACKS: Attacks That Take About 50 HP -This battle's not too difficult, but because of his high evade%, it is a good idea just to power up that AP bar to 28 again, and do the usual. Even if you lose, you get the same info that you would have gotten had you won. It just feels better to beat him. -After the battle, Wiseman tells Fei a little about his father and how it was he who brought Fei to Chief Lee. Boss: Rankar R -------------- HP: 800 EXP: 946 GOLD: 0 TREASURE: Scales ATTACKS: Tail Sweep; Slow Tail Thump -Like you VERRRRY first boss battle wayyyyyyy back at the beginning of the game, this battle is easy ^_^. Just use X attacks then Level 1's. Boss: Aegisknight R ------------------- HP: 1600 EXP: 5570 GOLD: 1000 TREASURE: None ATTACKS: Pile Driver -These guys AGAIN?! You have more battles forthcoming, so use Level 1's only. Can use booster, but you probably won't need it. Boss: Swordknight R ------------------- HP: 1800 EXP: 5570 GOLD: 1000 TREASURE: None ATTACKS: Multiple Sword Attacks -This boss isn't hard, but can cause serious damage, so use booster and your most powerful regular attacks (X) and Level Attacks (your choice) to defeat it as quickly as possible. Boss: Clawknight R ------------------ HP: 1700 EXP: 5570 GOLD: 1000 TREASURE: Beam Coat ATTACKS: Multiple Claw Attacks -Clawknight causes serious damage, so go all out and use BOOSTER and X attacks and Level combos. Boss: Wandknight R (x2) ----------------------- HP: 1800 EXP: 5570 GOLD: 1000 TREASURE: None ATTACKS: Multiple Beam Gun; Power Beam Attacks -This battle is easy because Rico joins Fei. As long as Weltall has 1000 HP, Fei should live. Use your most powerful regular attacks (X) and Level combos. Equip BEAM COATS after the battle, because the next has strong beam attacks. Also equip FRAME HP'S. Boss: Dominia ------------- HP: 7500 EXP: 48,106 GOLD: 20,000 TREASURE: HP Drive ATTACKS: HP DRIVE; Areod Attack; Super Areod Attack, Beam Attacks -You did equip Beam Coats, right? The attacks don't take as much damage of of Stier as they do Weltall. Use BOOSTER to speed up. The AEROD attack causes 400 HP to Fei, and nearly 100 to Rico. When the Hecht mounts a cannon in front of Dominia, try to destroy Dominia, or the canon will unleash SUPER AREOD attack which will 1000-1500 HP of damage. The large canon is difficult to destroy, so focus your power on Dominia herself. Use your highest Level combos as they become available. When Dominia goes down, so does the HECHT. Boss: Fis-6 ----------- HP: 6800 EXP: 67,284 GOLD: 15,000 TREASURE: Ground ATTACKS: Shift Up (self); Wrench (mechanics) -Start off using booster on all three gears. This will give them an early attack advantage. Use X attacks until your gears build up to Level 3, then let Fis-6 have it. It shouldn't take too long to defeat this boss. -Fis-6 has an awesome attack that increases its Speed, Defense, and Attack Ratings; however, if you're using Booster, then that won't make much of a difference. One major attack fomr Fis-6 causes around 550 HP of damage to a single party member. Also, don't use /\ (triangle) attacks because Fis-6 often blocks them. Only use them as part of a combo, of course. Unless you've spent time building up Elly (which you should have done right outside the Goliath Factory entrance), her melee attacks cause next to nothing, and he Attack Level stays at 0. -When you inflict enough damage on Fis-6, the boss wil overheat, and mechanics will show up and restore 500 HPs to Fis-6. Destroy the mechanics so that the boss can't be repaired. The mechanics can also throw wrenches at your party, causing 100 HPs of damage. It is possible to defeat Fis-6 before the mechanics arrive to restore HPs. Not too hard of a battle, just had a lot to write about. ^_~ Boss: Dominia (Haishao) ----------------------- HP: 5000 EXP: 0 GOLD: 0 TREASURE: None ATTACKS: Electric Arm; Water Attacks -This boss can hit the entire party with a water attack for close to 1000 HPs. Use X attacks then Level 2 or 3 combos as the become available. The Yggdrasil II will quickly appear and drop depth charges on Dominia, ending the battle...for now. As Dominia leaves, she pulls off a despicable act. Equip things that reduce wind damage or electric damage (such as Ground) sometime before the next battles. Boss: Dominia (Bladegash) ------------------------- HP: 3000 EXP: 22,428 GOLD: 3000 TREASURE: STR Drive ATTACKS: Wind, Water, Fire, Earth Swords -It's almost impossible to have decent elemental protection against Dominia, because her sword uses ALL elemental attacks causing around 500 points of damage to a single ally. Dominia is agile, so counter that by using Booster. -Use /\ attacks as your X ones do very little damage to her. Use Level 1's every other turn, or maybe Level 2's. Brigandier's BEAT SERPENT causes around 800 HPs, along with Weltall's RAPPU. Try to conserve fuel and keep HPs pretty high, as there is no chance to heal before the next battle. -It's possible to counter Dominia's sword attacks by having Elly counter with an Ether Machine attack. Remember that Earth cancels Wind, Fire cancels Water, and vice versa. For it to work, Elly must use the Ether counter RIGHT after Dominia casts the element on her sword. Boss: Ramsus (Haishao) and Miang (Miang's Gear) ----------------------------------------------- HP: 4500 EXP: 19,500 GOLD: 15,000 TREASURE: None ATTACKS: Electric Arm; Counter Nereid Cyclone; Mirror (predict and counter) -Miang, as usual, heals Ramsus, this time for 750 or so HPs. You cannot eliminate Miang; you must attack Ramsus alone. Use BOOSTER right off. Ramsus' multiple target attacks come close to 1500 HPs of damage spread out between your party members or to a single target. At a certain point in the battle, when you attack Ramsus, he counters with the NEREID CYCLONE, a water attack, that causes roughly 1200 HPs to the entire party. You'll be warned when the screen reads "Mirror Predict/ Counter." -As I said, Booster is a must. After Ramsus casts the cyclone attack, don't attack him! Just CHARGE or use FRAME HPs to restore Gear HPs. Or, you can just attack him like I did, and not worry about him countering every time. ^_^ Otherwise, when he casts the Cyclone attack again, unprovoked, this is a signal that you may resume attacking again. -After inflicting enough damage (about 3000 HPs), he takes down Weltall. At this point, Elly in Vierge comes to the rescue. Boss: Bloody ------------ HP: 4242 EXP: 25,701 GOLD: 3000 TREASURE: None ATTACKS: Bloody Rain; Murder; Claw Swipes -Think this guy looks like Redrum? Well, this battle plays out a lot like the other one. The same thing goes for the MURDER attack, Bloody steals the HPs of a member, use a Zetasol. Constantly pummel Bloody with your strongest combos on every turn. During the battle, Billy should act as healer for awhile. However, when he does attack, DON'T use [] (square) attacks unless they are part of a combo, because they heal the boss. If Elly is in your party, don't use THERMO CUBE, for it also heals Bloody. (Basically don't use fire-based attacks). -I recommend using Billy, Citan, and Rico in your party (hopefully you looked ahead to this after last battle). Rico, because his attacks cause a lot of damage. Citan has spells for protection from fire. Use Rekei on Citan and then Kaseii to prtect all party members from BLOODY RAIN. If Elly is in your party, use Water Ether attacks. -Use Billy's GODDESS CALL on Rico, so he speeds up. Have Rico build up to 28 AP then cast STEEL FIST. The resulting combo may cause up to 2000 HPs of damage. Save your game after the battle (climb back outside). Boss: Giant Wels ---------------- HP: 7000 EXP: 77,103 GOLD: 28,000 TREASURE: G-M686 Gun ATTACKS: Steal Fuel -Now in Gears, use BOOSTER right away. Be careful though, the Giant Wels regularly drains 125 Fuel from the party, amounting to two fuel-guzzling elements. -The only basic attack (combo or normal) that causes any damage is Billy's Ether Gun ([] attack), for approx. 400 HPs. Basically he is the only one that will be doing damage in the battle, unless you have Elly. The thing is: Ether attacks make Giant Wels grow, and lower its DEF ratings, and raise its ATK ratings. So, if Elly is in your party, cast some Ether attacks to lower its DEF, and now the other's attacks should cause damage; watch out though: Giant Wels will have a higher attack. Other than that, if Elly ain't in your group, have Billy pummel with [] attacks turn after turn. Actually, you won't need to use booster with the other Gears, only Billy (that's only if you don't have Elly). You get a gun that you can equip on Renmazuo after the battle. Boss: Elements (Tolone & Seraphita) ----------------------------------- HP: 2500/ 2000 EXP: 31,184 X2 GOLD: 5000 X2 TREASURE: ETH Drive, VIT Drive ATTACKS: Positron Beam; Steal EP; Dive Bomb -Use Billy's HOLY LIGHT ability, and Citan's "Renki'd" Sazanami Ether abilities, if he's in your party, or items to heal everyone after the initial attacks. If a member succombs, then use ZETASOL immediately. Destroy Seraphita (pink hair) first, because she fewer HPs. If Citan is in your party, have him use a "Renki'd" Chiseii ability to protect everybody from Tolone's wind attacks. Just use your highest normal DeathBlows, and forget about building up AP. Boss: Id -------- HP: 3000 EXP: 90,534 GOLD: 5 TREASURE: None ATTACKS: Various Multiple Attacks; Back Cloud -This is a difficult battle. Id's attacks are powerful, and can hit multiple targets. Perhaps one party memeber should spend every other turn healing the party. If Billy is part of your team, which I recommend, use his HOLY LIGHT ability, and Citan can use a Renkei'd Sazanami, and other characters use items to heal. With Billy, use his GODDESS CALL ability to boost everyone's speed. Use regular DeathBlows and forget about building up your AP bar, because Id will attack your party too many times for that to be successful. If a member is killed use a Zetasol to revive him/her right away, and then attempt to cure him/her before Id retaliates. -Id's melee attack causes around 70 HP of damage, while his other Atk causes about 200. If Id begins to dodge frequently, start mixing your DeathBlows; that for some reason works. Equip SEAL ARs before next battle! Boss: Alkanshel --------------- HP: 10,500 EXP: 132,549 GOLD: 30,000 TREASURE: E Circuit ATTACKS: Seal; Mass Limit (1/2 HP); Power Loss; Slow -Because of an unseen barrier, during the first few rounds of the battle, Alkanshel is invincible, so concentrate on conserving fuel. (Use /\ Atks). After a brief flashback to Billy's past, Jessie breaks the barrier surrounding Alkanshel. -Alkanshel's MASS LIMIT (one of only two offensive attacks) halves everyone's HP. You can restore them, but no matter how many times he casts Mass Limit, you will still have HPs. His SEAL attack can take a good amount away, but if you equipped the seal ar, then you should be OK. Use you X attacks, and then Level 2 combos when they become available. -Billy's HARD SNAP and Rico's BOMBER HEAD inflict over 1000 HPs of damage each time. Watch out- after defeating Alkanshel, look out for the final attack that can cause up to 700 or so HP to everyone (or as low as 450 HP). Boss: Ramsus w/ Miang --------------------- HP: 5000 EXP: 23,652 GOLD: 3000 TREASURE: None ATTACKS: Wyvern -Miang cures Ramsus this time for 1200 HPs, so you'll need to hit Ramsus hard a couple of times quickly. Ramsus' WYVERN attack does one character 1500 HPs of damage. Just pound Ramsus w/ X Atks, then use Level Attack 2 or 3 combos. Try to time it so that all three of you Gears hits with their strongest Level Attack combos all at once. -They flee when Ramsus' HP drop to a low level. Boss: Seibzehn (Maria) ---------------------- HP: 5500 EXP: 60,000 GOLD: 10,000 TREASURE: Alloy ATTACKS: Missle Pod Ether; Restore HPs; Heavy -This "boss" is not too difficult. Start battle using BOOSTER like all other battles (pretty much), and use X attacks (duh), and combos every other turn. Seibzehn's attacks do around 1200 HPs of damage, plus she also has FRAME HPs equipped and can restore 400 HPs every other turn or so. -Start battle by having two characters (with strongest attack points) build up to Attack Level 3, and unleash, which should cause around 3000 HP. That will give a good head start, and just use Level 1's every other turn. Once Seibzehn begins to repair itself, you will not want to waste turns building up Attack Levels. -Here is an insert for the next battles. They are all in a row and only one Gear fights at a time. I will give you MY suggested order (that may not make sense yet, but when you get there, refer back here) for the "Generator Battles." First, here is the lowdown on the Generators: Generator 1: Two small Gears and Solaris troops. Hit them with a multiple target attack FAST, just to eliminate the men first. Generator 2: Three White Knights, fast and maneuverable. Generator 3: Large Gear with strong Gel attack, and White Knight. Generator 4: Large, powerful Gear and 2 White Knights. -Who I think should fight where: Generator 1: Elly Generator 2: Bart or Citan Generator 3: Bart or Citan (whoever didn't fight above), or Rico, who has strong attacks Generator 4: Fei -Battles are listed in order from 1-4, note that you can fight in any order you like. Upgrade Gears you will be using to highest ratings by talking to the chu-chu outside Zephyr's chamber's. Boss: 6 Solaris Guards & 2 Littlefoot Gears (Gen 1) --------------------------------------------------- HP: 200x6; 600 EXP: 2400x6; 300x2 GOLD: 500x6 TREASURE: Silver Ar; Rosesol ATTACKS: Short Beam -Although you can destroy the guards with one hit, they are extremely fast and can even cause up to 300 HPs of damage. The reason you should have Elly fight here is to use her AERODS attack to take out all Solaris guards in one turn. To clean up the littlefoot Gears (piece o' cake), use X's. Boss: 3 White Knights (Gen 2) ----------------------------- HP: 290 each EXP: 2800 x3 GOLD: 1500 TREASURE: Lite Ar+1 ATTACKS: Swords -The White Knights are agile, but their swords cause little damage if you have the strongest armor equipped. BOOSTER is good, and Bart is a good choice in this battle, because of his offensive Ether attacks. -YGG D.CHARGE wipes out a single enemy in this battle, and another good tactic to take out the White Knights is HEAVEN CENT. Boss: 2 White Knights & Citadel --------------------------------------- HP: 6000, 290x2 EXP: 4400, 2800x2 GOLD: 11,000 TREASURE: Gold Plate (coulda used it b4 ^_^) ATTACKS: Sonic Boom; Machin Gun; Gel Breath -BOOSTER right off the bat. Destroy the White Knights first with X's, which will build up Attack Level to 2. Unleash the Level 2 on Citadel, which will cause good damage. Then finish it off with Level 1's every other turn. SONIC BOOM and GEL take off approx. 3500 HP, but you should have every Gear equipped w/ FRAME HPs. Fuel shouldn't be at a premium. Boss: 2 White Knights & Avalanche ------------------------------------------- HP: 5000, 290x2 EXP: 4800, 2800x2 GOLD: 21,000 TREASURE: Noise Filter, Ether Ar ATTACKS: Avalanche Drill (Def DOWN); Sonic; Swords (knights) -Fei should easily win this battle (I think you should choose Fei hands down). Immediately use BOOSTER and destroy White Knights to raise Attack Level to 2. Unleash it on Avalanche. The boss uses attacks that cause 2000 HPs of damage, so it may be necessary to use Frame HPs, but watch out for the Sonic attack, which I think caused almost 5000 HPs to me once. -Here comes Chu-Chu!!! Boss: Achtzehn (Seibzehn's sister Gear) ----------------------------------------------- HP: 12,000 EXP: 50,000 GOLD: 10,000 TREASURE: WizadryRing ATTACKS: Electric; Various Flying Attacks -X attacks with Chu-Chu and after three hits, you "win", but Chu-Chu is knocked out thereafter. In comes Seibzehn, and after some dialogue, Maria attacks the Gear created by her father. Use BOOSTER and Level 1's every other turn, and you won't have to worry, 'cause Seibzehn's just too good!
